Favourite Author

13th Nov 2013.

Hello Everyone! I'm back with the bullhorn :3. I'm really sorry that I have not been active these days; the wi-fi at home wasn't working! So today I'll be talking about my favourite author, S.E.Hinton. S.E. Hinton is the author of Rumble Fish, the Outsiders, Tex and more books. She wrote the Outsiders when she was only seventeen years old, and yet the story is just FANTASTIC. Most of her books are related to young teens with their crime lives (having a rep.), about drugs, gang fights (rumbles), etc. Oh also, the plot of most of her stories are set in 1979's~1980's. The reason I like S.E.Hinton is because she writes in the genre of realistic fiction and historical fiction. She uses quotes from famous poets into her books. (in the Outsiders there is a poem named 'Stay Gold' by Robert Frost). The using of quotes from poets or other sources make the description of the scene very appealing. Later on I found the definition of the poem and was like "Ohhhh... that;s how this character passed his last words to this and that person...". I also learn from her books too! She writes in first person to third person view and as I said earlier, she uses little quotes from people! Try reading books from S.E.Hinton if you haven't read on of them yet! I'm sure y'all will like them! That was it for my second post; like, subscribe, and comment! The littlest comments, likes or subscriptions give me the strength to write more and more! Thanks :)
Oh and also comment on what and how I could improve my posts? or comment things you'd like me to write, such as book reviews and music reviews!

  1. Great post Sunny. The Outsiders is a great book. I was wondering if you would like to share Stay Gold by Frost with the class and talk about why you like and share your understanding of it in the coming weeks? That would be great.

Love that you are using your bullhorn! Keep it up!

    1. Thank You! I'd love do share the poem with the class.

  2. I love S.E Hinton too! My favorite books from her is The Outsiders and Rumble Fish. I love how she changes the stereo type that girls write about girls and boys write about boys.

It's amazing how S.E Hinton wrote The Outsiders when she was only seventeen.
I also like how S.E Hinton can write really well about situations that we can't really relate too. Sometimes you have to think a little more with her books.
